Taught tonight. Original song was done by Solomon Burke in the 60's and features in the film "Dirty Dancing" and was also a hit in the UK for the Pretty Things in the 60's. I too wonder why the dance is called Glass of Wine. Kilotile is a canadian dj/producer. Just discpvered "Glass Of Wine" is the title of the album from which the track comes

Very popular in my beginner class. One of those songs you hear and rush to join in with. My current favourite new dance I’ve taught.

My absolute beginner class has only been going for 5 months and like someone else has mentioned there is a contrast between the easier first of the dance and a harder second half so some struggled a bit to start off with, but I have a feeling they'll love it once they've got used to the pace of it all over the next couple of weeks.

I took a look at this after Britt B recommended it. My beginner classes love it! The contrast between the first section which seems a bit slower than the second half of the dance adds a bit of challenge and classes have actually broken out in applause after finishing the dance. That doesn't happen all that often.

Saw this on a review and its a great beginner dance has a real feel good factor about it. Always loved the original track and remember Val Myers doing an AB dance to it as part of his beginner series but this is more up tempo. Will teach it this week. Goodness me more of a split than Brexit some loved it some absolutely hated the music. I like it. Well three weeks down the line and everyone absolutely loves it. No better way to get all that angst and frustration out. Its a great dance.

A really great little beginner dance - the last 16 counts feel fantastic to capture the growing crescendo of the music in many walls then the release into the stomp & swivels at the beginning of the dance. Love it.
